Name

Archdiocese of Atlanta Eucharistic Revival

Our world is hurting. We all need healing, yet many of us have separated ourselves from the very source of our strength. Jesus Christ invites us to return to the source and summit of our faith in the celebration of the Eucharist. The National Eucharistic Revival has been initiated by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) to restore understanding and devotion to this great mystery here in the United States by helping us renew our worship of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. The Revival was spurred on by the Pew Research Forum’s (2019) Survey findings that only one in three who identify themselves as Catholic believe in the Real Presence of Christ in the Holy Eucharist.

National Eucharistic Revival: Go here to read about a Grassroots Response to God’s Invitation

While some might say they are not surprised by these statistics, as only about half of Catholics actively practice their faith, the Pew Forum’s data also showed that two out of three who are “weekly” Mass goers believe in the Real Presence. Clearly, many have lost their way, or their belief – but even for those who do believe, a revival of our devotion is in order.

Over the next year, we will be providing resources HERE that will enrich your understanding of the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist.

2024 Archbishop’s Annual Appeal

Serving more than 1,000,000 Catholics, the mission of the Archdiocese of Atlanta is to proclaim the Gospel of the Lord and grow all of north and central Georgia in faith, hope, love, and service to others. “Like the disciples we know that we must spend time in His presence, to allow His heart to speak to ours.” Archbishop Gregory J. Hartmayer. Your gift and participation in the 2024 Archbishop’s Annual Appeal help make it possible by supporting the ministerial, outreach, education, formation, and discipleship work of the Archdiocese of Atlanta. Please give prayerful consideration to your level of support to help fund the essential ministries and services supported by the Appeal. The campaign goal is $9,350,000 and our parish goal is $81,600. Every gift to the Annual Appeal is vitally important to assure the continued support of many important programs that help thousands in our archdiocese each year through the education of our children and seminary students, evangelization and Christian Initiation, ongoing formation for our priests and so much more!
