Through their merits and intercession, graciously grant the favor I humbly ask of You (pause and state your intention), so that, for the glory of Your Name, their heroic sacrifice may be officially recognized by the Church. Prayer to Our Lady of Sorrows Feast day: September 15

Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Compassion, I turn to you with filial confidence. You shared fully in the work of our lord Jesus Christ, whose Death brought life to the world. Help me now to understand the truth about the divine compassion. Teach me to accept the sufferings that come into my life as you accepted obediently your own deep sorrows. Loving Mother of the Redeemer, you consecrated yourself by submitting to the divine plan. Obtain for me the grace to make my own submission to the same wise providence, now and at the hour of my death. Amen.

Prayer to St. George Feast day: April 23

O St. George, faithful servant of God and invincible martyr; favored by God with the gift of faith, and inflamed with an ardent love of Christ, You fought valiantly against the dragon of pride, falsehood, and deceit. Neither pain nor torture, sword nor death could part you from the love of Christ. I fervently implore you for the sake of this love to help me by your intercession to overcome the temptations that surround me, and to bear bravely the trials that oppress me, so that I may patiently carry the cross which is placed upon me; and let neither distress nor difficulties separate me from the love of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Valiant champion of the Faith, assist me in the combat against evil, that I may win the crown promised to those who persevere to the end.

You struggled against evil and spent your life on earth doing good. Before our Lord Jesus Christ, we ask for your intercession for protection, in times of distress or difficulty, and for strength to persevere for peace in our lives, peace in our homes, and peace in our world. St. Faustina’s Prayer Before the Blessed Sacrament The primary Catholic “Feast of the Blessed Sacrament” is Corpus Christi (the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ). It is celebrated on the Thursday after Trinity Sunday. In most U.S. dioceses, it is transferred to the following Sunday to allow greater participation.

I adore You for all the works of Your hands, that reveal to me so much wisdom, goodness and mercy,
O Lord. You have spread so much beauty over the earth, and it tells me about Your beauty,
even though these beautiful things are but a faint reflection of You, incomprehensible Beauty.
And although You have hidden Yourself and concealed Your beauty, my eye, enlightened by faith, reaches You
and my soul recognizes its Creator, its Highest Good, and my heart is completely immersed in prayer of adoration.

My Lord and Creator, Your goodness encourages me to converse with You.
Your mercy abolishes the chasm which separates the Creator from the creature.
To converse with You, O Lord, is the delight of my heart. In You I find everything that my heart could desire.
Here You light illumines my mind, enabling it to know You more and more deeply.
Here streams of graces flow down upon my heart. Here my soul draws eternal life.
O my Lord and Creator, You alone, beyond all these gifts, give Your own self to me
and unite Yourself intimately with Your miserable creature.

O Christ, let my greatest delight be to see You loved and Your praise and glory proclaimed,
especially the honor of Your mercy.
O Christ, let me glorify Your goodness and mercy to the last moment of my life,
with every drop of my blood and every beat of my heart.
Would that I be transformed into a hymn of adoration of You.
When I find myself on my deathbed, may the last beat of my heart be a loving hymn
glorifying Your unfathomable mercy. Amen.
