Mary Our Queen’s religious formation program, Vita Christi Catechesis Program, is based upon the liturgical calendar of the Church, and that liturgical calendar is largely built around the life of Christ. Each season of the Church is a reflection upon some part of our Lord’s life and ministry. As Christians, we reflect upon the life of Christ as we also strive to live our own lives in harmony with his life. Each weekend our Sunday School lessons are built upon the liturgical season and the various feasts that fall within that week. We learn to pray by the patterns and rhythms of the praying Church. This is a holistic and Catholic formation, that in age appropriate ways, introduces our youth to scripture, the catechism, Church history, Catholic traditions, and the great saints who have gone before us. It is not just lessons, but meant to help build a culture of Faith. Vita Christi Catechesis Program supplements the religious formation that each Catholic child should also be receiving at home. As our youth grow in wisdom and stature, may they more and more reflect the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Volunteer with Faith Formation
Every person has a unique gift to offer their parish family. We need all skills from PreK through adulthood, from food service to teaching in front of a crowd. Whatever your gift is, we need an army of willing hearts to serve alongside our faith formation team at MOQ. If you cannot commit every week but would be willing to help in some way, we invite you to reach out.
If you would like to volunteer, please submit the form below. Please note: All volunteers are required to complete the Archdiocese of Atlanta Safe Environment program.
