As we enter this sacred season, we invite you to join Mary Our Queen in celebrating Advent—a time of joyful preparation, reflection, and anticipation of the birth of Christ. Together, let us journey through these weeks of hope, peace, joy, and love as we ready our hearts for the coming of our Savior. Download a simple list of our Advent Events here.
First Sunday of Advent (11/30): The journey begins with hope. On this day, we light the first candle and reflect on our anticipation for Christ’s coming, embracing hope for the world and our lives.
Second Sunday of Advent (12/7): The second candle represents peace. This Sunday invites us to prepare our hearts, focusing on God’s promise of peace and the ways we can share it with others.
Third Sunday of Advent (12/14): Known as Gaudete Sunday, the third week is marked by joy. We celebrate the joy that Christ brings, lighting the pink candle as a sign of rejoicing and gratitude.
Fourth Sunday of Advent (12/21): As Christmas draws near, the final candle symbolizes love. We remember God’s boundless love through the gift of Jesus and are called to share that love with one another.
