Per the Archdiocese of Atlanta guidelines, we will follow the Gwinnett County School System’s decision for online classes only and begin the Faith Formation year by only offering the At Home “Family Table” model of Faith Formation. If conditions change, we will open the Hybrid model at that time.
For Registration Purposes, Please Register for the Model best for your family knowing that if you chose the Hybrid Model, you will start the year At-Home until Gwinnett County schools re-open for In-Person classes.
Our Hybrid Faith Formation program is for the whole family where families have a combination of in person and “Family Table” at home study based on the lectionary and the Sunday gospel reading. Families will come to the church on approximately 2 Sundays a month and have home study the other two. Students will meet from 9:45-10:45 and Parents will meet from 10:00-10:30. Class numbers will be limited in order to allow for social distancing. At this time, masks will have to be worn and participants should not attend if sick or have a fever.
In person classes will be age appropriate:
- 4 levels of elementary class will be held in the upstairs classrooms of the Parish Life Center
- Middle School will meet in the Parish Hall
- High School will meet in the Kiernan Hall Teen Center
- Parents will meet in the Church Sanctuary
Both models will be supported by the Faith Formation office and all age appropriate material to be discussed around the family dinner table will be provided:
- Pre-K through 8th grade: Gospel Weeklie by Pflaum Publishing:
- High School: Lectio Divina model with material supplied to study the Gospel
Families will read the Gospel together, discuss what you are hearing and reflect on the teaching of the Catholic faith through scripture. A second age appropriate catechism book will also be supplied. Each week, families will complete an online weekly assessment tool and submit to the Faith Formation Office to show participation.
