Our Hybrid Faith Formation program is for the whole family where families have a combination of in person and “Family Table” at home study based on the lectionary and the Sunday gospel reading. Families will have approximately three in person classes a month and one home study family lessons a month. Parents will be required to attend one Parent session each month and are encouraged to share the weekly Sunday Gospel each week as a family. Pre-K thru 8thgrade classes will be on Sunday mornings from 9:45 am-10:45 am giving families the opportunity to attend Mass either before class at 8:30 am or after class at 11:00 am or 5 pm. High School classes will be on Sunday evening from 6:00-7:30pm following the 5pm Mass
In person classes will be age appropriate:
- 4 levels of elementary classes will be held in the upstairs classrooms of the Parish Life Center
- Middle School will meet in the Parish Hall
- High School will meet in the Kiernan Hall Teen Center
- Parents will meet in the Church Sanctuary
Both models will be supported by the Faith Formation office and all age appropriate material to be discussed around the family dinner table will be provided:
- Pre-K through 8th grade: Gospel Weeklie by Pflaum Publishing:
- High School: Lectio Divina model with material supplied to study the Gospel
Families will read the Gospel together, discuss what you are hearing and reflect on the teaching of the Catholic faith through scripture. A second age appropriate catechism book will also be supplied. Each week, families will complete an online weekly assessment tool and submit to the Faith Formation Office to show participation.
Sacramental Programs will be free standing and separate from faith formation weekly classes.
