Option Two: An At-Home Family Catechesis program that is taught entirely at home (no in-person classes). The foundation of the program is the Sunday Gospel and the family dinner table. Families will be guided through reading, sharing and reflecting on the Sunday Gospel and what it teaches us about the Catholic faith. Parents choosing this option will be required to attend one Sunday morning Parent session each month.
Both models will be supported by the Faith Formation office and all age appropriate material to be discussed around the family dinner table will be provided:
- Pre-K through 8th grade: Gospel Weeklie by Pflaum Publishing:
- High School: Lectio Divina model with material supplied to study the Gospel
Families will read the Gospel together, discuss what you are hearing and reflect on the teaching of the Catholic faith through scripture. A second age appropriate catechism book will also be supplied. Each week, families will complete an online weekly assessment tool and submit to the Faith Formation Office to show participation.
