Knights of Columbus

The Knights serve our parish with various events that bring family and children together. Knights abide in Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.

The Mary Our Queen Council meets regularly for business and social meetings on 3rd Thursday of each month.

Our Library is located in the Trinity Building in Room 104 and books are checked out on the honor system. We have a wide variety of literature that educates, informs and inspires those who want to better understand the Catholic faith.

Men’s Club

The Men’s Club offers fellowship to all men of the parish with a monthly social gathering often featuring a speaker of local interest.

The Men’s Club also manages the Fish Fry during Lent.

Meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month at 6:30 pm in Kiernan Hall, September through April. Come join us!

Men’s Morning Fellowship

Men of the parish are invited to join this group at 8 a.m. on Friday mornings for spiritual fellowship. We begin with a spiritual talk for one half hour, then discussion. Mass follows at 9:00 a.m.

Parish Family Night

This group plans Wednesday night activities to build up our parish life by sharing a meal together, participating in service activities, praying together, and taking part in the sacraments. The general format is a potluck meal or pizza night followed by a service project, holy hour or other faith-building activity. We welcome you to participate either as an attendee or planner!

WEDS (Worldwide Marriage Encounter)

Looking to Renew and Strengthen your Marriage in 2019?
Find and Attend a Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend in 2019

Worldwide Marriage Encounter is a weekend for married Christian couples who value their relationship and desire a richer, fuller life together. Attend a Marriage Encounter weekend and learn the tools needed to keep your marriage strong. The emphasis of Worldwide Marriage Encounter is on communication between husband and wife, who spend a weekend together away from the distractions and the tensions of everyday life, to concentrate on each other.

It’s not a retreat, nor a marriage clinic, nor group sensitivity. It’s a unique approach aimed at revitalizing Christian Marriage. This is a time for you and your spouse to be alone together. To rediscover each other and together focus on your relationship for an entire weekend. Every marriage deserves that kind of attention!” (from GaTn WWME website)

After couples attend a Marriage Encounter weekend, they are invited to join MOQ’s smaller WEDS group. The meetings are typically held the 2nd Saturday of each month at a couple’s home and are designed to help you to continue the journey you began on your encounter weekend. Fellowship and sharing is enjoyed by WEDS couples as they celebrate their Sacrament of Love, a living gift from God.

During our monthly meetings we discuss and share various topics couples can use to enrich their marriages, socialize and have a good time together. Currently, Mary Our Queen has about 20 active couples in our WEDS group.

Welcoming Committee

This group of parishioners reaches out to newcomers and acquaints them with the ministries and activities at Mary Our Queen. They also host a quarterly Welcome Breakfast for all new parishioners. Volunteers who enjoy meeting new people are always welcome!

Women’s Bible Study

All women are invited to join the Women’s Bible Study on Thursday at 2 p.m. in Kiernan Hall. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other women of the parish and for spiritual growth as we seek a better understanding of the Sacred Scriptures.

Women’s Guild

The goal of this ministry is to help all women feel comfortable coming to the parish for support and fellowship, to find a place to share their many gifts and talents, and to provide a spirit of charity and outreach while supporting each other and strengthening our families and our Catholic Faith.

Meets the 2nd Monday of each month in Kiernan Hall.
